Grenada is a magical island with plenty to see and do while you are here. Golden sand beaches, undisturbed bays, cool waterfalls in acres of rain forest. Quaint old style West Indian homesteads, rum distilleries and sleepy villages make this island a sunny paradise. Horizon Yacht Charters can arrange so much for you: the wedding license that is a requirement, booking the minister to perform the service, flowers, champagne and the luncheon buffet onboard our luxury catamaran.
The afternoon is spent relaxing on the fore deck and when you have had enough sunshine, a cool swim in the tranquil bay will work wonders.
Hotel accommodation prior to the big day can be arranged here at True Blue Bay Resort or any number of guest houses and hotels that are available. Island taxi tours with knowledgeable drivers to guide you or car rental service are all on hand. Day 2. Breakfast and swim at Sandy Island, a flawless piece of sand with no more than half a dozen palm trees. Watch the pelicans performing aerobatics around your boat as you eat. After breakfast sail over to Union Island and complete check in and out formalities for St. Vincent at Clifton Harbour. Continue north for the Tobago Cays and the highlight of your trip. Spend the afternoon snorkeling the reef and exploring by dinghy, or just stay on board and marvel at the natural beauty of the place. For dinner, BBQ under the stars.
Day 4. A fast sail south, back to Grenada. Should you have time, stop at Dragon Bay on the west side of Grenada for a last snorkel. Arrive back on the dock at True Blue Bay in time for happy hour at the bar and a mango margarita! |
Nothing is quite as special as the day you get married. So why not chose to get married in a very special way? 
You will sail to a tropical island along the south coast, where under the shade of a Sea Grape tree the service can take place. After exchanging vows and being pronounced husband and wife, an ice-cold bottle of champagne will be on hand to toast each other before returning to your yacht for a delicious lunch. 
If you would rather spend your honeymoon sailing, then a four-day trip visiting Carriacou, Sandy Island, Petite Martinique and Petite St. Vincent would be a delightful adventure. See our itinerary outlined below. Self-catering or all-inclusive - the choice is yours. We are able to provide experienced crew to take the hard work out of sailing these islands, so you will have plenty of time for each other and each special moment. 
Day 1. Depart from Horizon Yacht Charters dock at 9.30 a.m. after stowing gear below. If provisioning service was ordered food and drinks will be stored in place, ready to go. An exhilarating days sail to Tyrrel Bay, Carriacou. Anchor amongst the local fishing boats and enjoy a stroll and drink ashore at one of the local rum shops. View the mangrove lagoon by dinghy on the Northern shore.
Day 3. After a leisurely breakfast, sail to Petit St. Vincent, perhaps stopping at Mopion Island, made famous by the Bacardi advertising campaign. For dinner, arrange a water taxi over to Palm Beach Restaurant on Petit Martinique and enjoy local fresh lobster and fish.
