Example of 7 day itinerary, starting and ending in Grenada
Wednesday 23th April
Arrive in Grenada and take a taxi for the 5 minute transfer to the Horizon base at True Blue Resort.
Thursday 24th April. Provision the boat and complete the chart and yacht briefing in preparation for evening departure and overnight sail south to Tobago.
Friday 25th
Arrive in Scarborough, Tobago in the morning and clear into the territory. Stay overnight anchored in Scarborough. Collect show tickets from the tourism office and take a taxi to the Plymouth show ground for the first night’s entertainment.
Saturday 26th
Sail from Scarborough around the west end of Tobago to Plymouth, a delightful small town set on a hill above a long pristine beach. Anchor in the bay below the event stage, dinghy ashore for the second night show.
Sunday 27th
A good day to explore the west end of the island – picnic at Pigeon Point and snorkeling on Buccoo Reef, a massive coral reef and protected area very good for windsurfing. Head back to the show ground for 5 p.m. for the final night’s entertainment.
Monday 28th
Sail along the north coast to Englishman’s Bay which is a spectacular anchorage. Enjoy a walk ashore; the rain forest here is one of the world’s oldest national parks and is filled with exotic birds and animal life. There is excellent snorkeling and diving too.
Tuesday 29th
Sail to Man of War Bay and Charlotteville which is a pleasant sleepy town in the southeastern corner of this large bay. The area is surrounded by steep hills of tropical forest with small valleys and sandy beaches. From your boat you can watch parrots feeding on the fruit tress ashore. Depart around 10 p.m. for overnight sail back to Grenada.
