I was extremely happy with the service and yacht provided from start to finish. The office staff are responsive, friendly and accommodating through the booking process. On arrival I was treated very well by everyone I met from Horizon’s taxi driver who met me at the ferry to the office staff – big smiles and very personal service from everyone. The dock staff were great and quickly attended to requests for help in any way they could! The chart briefing was tailored to my personal needs and very thorough and efficient allowing us to get under way much earlier than I expected. The new base is a huge plus! Everything you need is right there – great bar and food at Peg Leg’s, 5* showers, liquor and groceries literally within 100 feet of the dock, dive shop right there, etc. The boat was immaculate and in perfect working order. Just wanted to pass on our thanks for our charter on "Moonshine" that ended yesterday. The boat was clean and sailed well and the staff was very helpful. Tai did an excellent briefing on the boat so we felt we knew her well by the time we took her out. Although we had a couple of mechanical problems along the way, the staff did a great job handling them quickly so that our downtime was minimal. We particularly appreciated Henry's assistance and professionalism in dealing with the mechanical issues and the final checkout. Wow! Now that I've recovered for a few days I wish to send to you my sincere thanks. Our Horizon Yacht charter of the Lagoon 440 "Fly Bye" was wonderful. I must commend The HYC Staff for making us feel comfortable, confident and safe while undertaking our first catamaran charter. Our briefings were not only complete but also fun and "user friendly". All of the sailors on board felt that the "Fly Bye" was an amazing boat and well maintained. The rest of the crew considered "Fly Bye" to be comfortable, accommodating, and well equipped. Communications with the charter base during the charter were reassuring and the checkout procedure was hassle free. And while we're at it, Nanny Cay is an excellent charter base facility. We had a great time in the BVI's. It was my nephew's and his wife's first bareboat charter and they loved it. Horizon Yacht Charters was all that was promised and more. The office staff was friendly, welcoming, and helpful. The chart briefing was very well done, by Henry, with overhead shots of anchorages and lots of suggestions for fun and relaxation. The boat briefing, by Milton, was thorough yet relaxed. Milton has a great sense of humour, who along with others put all of us, especially the first-timers, at ease. The boat, according to Milton was three+ years old and in great shape. It performed flawlessly and was clean and very well maintained. I recommend Horizon very highly. It was such a pleasure to meet David, the Base Director in St Martin. He had such knowledge of the islands that it made our vacation. He was able to pass on the best tips on snorkelling and seemed to know the every single restaurant on the island - which was a great benefit! Dear Compass, We are enclosing a check for a year's subscription. We picked up a copy of Compass while recently chartering in the Grenadines out of Grenada. We enjoyed our cruise - the "off" season was fine with us - and furthered our anchoring and sailing skills with no screw-ups (just a little tension on our part). We gained confidence with a very good boat, a Bavaria 42 from Horizon Yacht Charters in True Blue Bay, and in anchoring with a lot of chain. Carriacou, Union Island, Mayreau, Canouan and especially the Tobago Cays were beautiful. On Mayreau Curtis taxied us from Saltwhistle Bay to the village for provisioning and shared beautiful overlooks and views of his island. Union Island and Clifton Harbor were also very nice and the people friendly. Horizon Yacht Charter is what brought us down there and beyond the BVI. They were great. We hope to come back.
