Airlines

To fly to the British Virgin Islands you can travel via San Juan, Puerto Rico; St Thomas, USVI; Antigua or St Martin. There are many carriers that fly to these destinations including:

From the US - American Airlines, Continental, Delta, Jet Blue, Spirit Air.

From Canada - Air Canada.

From the UK - British Airways*, BMI, British West Indies Airways, First Choice, Virgin Atlantic.

From Europe - Air France, Condor and KLM.

American Airline customers arriving in Antigua from London will be able to connect to the British Virgin Islands on the new American Eagle service. On Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays, flight 5069 (ANU-EIS) leaves Antigua at 4 p.m. and arrives in Tortola at 4:55pm. On the same days, flight 5068 (EIS –ANU) leaves Tortola at 2pm and arrives in Antigua at 3:25 p.m. LIAT also flys from Antigua and St Martin into Tortola.

There are connecting flights from San Juan International Airport, Puerto Rico to Terrence B. Lettsome International Airport, (airport code EIS), on Beef Island in Tortola. Scheduled carriers on this route are American Eagle, Cape Air, and LIAT.

Entry Requirements
Non-US or Canadian citizens need a valid passport for entry into the British Virgin Islands. US and Canadian citizens can enter with an authentic birth certificate plus two valid photo IDs if they don't have a passport but, in keeping with the regulations set out by the US Department of State, passports will be required for all US and Canadian citizens from January 1, 2007. Horizon Yacht Charters advises guests to check the details on the US Department of State's web site.
Getting to the Horizon Base
Getting to Horizon's Offices and YachtsJust send us your flight details and arrival times and we will arrange for one of our designated friendly taxi drivers to meet you at the airport. The taxi transfer is not included in your charter fee and the fare is $10 per person with a minimum charge of $30. The journey time between the Terrence B Lettsome International Airport at Beef Island to Nanny Cay Marina is approximately 40 minutes. If you are arriving by ferry from St Thomas in to West End, please take a taxi from the taxi rank. The journey time from West End to the Horizon base is about 15 minutes and costs $7 per person, minimum charge $21.
