|
Day 1
Jolly Harbour, Antigua. Meet the Horizon team and have a one to one briefing and a full chart briefing of the cruising area. If you have decided to take a Captain, meet up and finalise your ‘active’ itinerary. Sail to Carlisle Bay which is around 2 hours along the stunning west coast. |
|
Day 2
If you are a certified diver, at 9.15am you’ll be collected in Carlisle Bay by Indigo Divers aboard “Ocean Action 1” for two dives at different locations. Or schedule a Discover Scuba Diving PADI course based out of Jolly Harbour at the large, fresh water pool. Cades Reef is a healthy reef that boasts around 40 dive sites. Dive between 65 – 70 feet and see turtles, eagle rays, parrot fish and juvenile fish that breed in the nearby mangroves. |
|
Overnight in Carlisle Bay, get the BBQ going and watch the sunset over Antigua’s neighbouring island of Montserrat. When the water’s this warm, you just want to jump right in! |
| |
Day 3
An early start! Sail north from Carlisle Bay to Dickenson Bay. Xtreme Antigua will collect you from the beach at around 9am and take you on a thrilling ride circum-navigating Antigua aboard their high performance 45-foot power boat. Designed to race offshore, your top speed will be 40mph. Drop anchor and snorkel across to Hell’s Gate Island and follow your professional guide through the coral caves to the peak!
Remember your underwater camera! Snorkel equipment is provided; just bring your sense of adventure and love of speed.
Learn to windsurf with Patrick at Tony’s Water Sports on Dickenson Bay. This beautiful and sheltered bay is ideal for beginners. Overnight in Dickenson Bay aboard your yacht. Dinghy ashore and enjoy great food and live music at The Beach Restaurant and Bar or for something a little special, dine at Opus. Night birds can dance the night away at local nightclubs and bars.
|
|
Day 4
Sail south – a fantastic sail to English Harbour and Falmouth Harbour – home to Antigua Yacht Club. Sign up for one week’s membership and enjoy dinghy sailing any day of the week and laser racing each Tuesday. Can’t sail? Take a dinghy lesson with Karl James – Antigua’s resident Olympic laser sailor, Club Instructor and Caribbean laser champion. |
|
Day 5
Windsurf Antigua will deliver windsurf gear to you in English Harbour. Load it on board then sail from English Harbour to Nonsuch Bay. Choose to windsurf or learn to kite with Max. Already experienced? Then just rig up for a session. |
|
Day 6
From Nonsuch Bay, sail to Five Islands Harbour. Drop anchor and relax. Or put on your snorkeling gear and head over to the south side of the bay. Kayak over to to Maiden Island and watch the pelicans diving for their dinner. Enjoy a sunset over Montserrat for the last time before your final sail tomorrow. |
| |
Day 7
Your final day… sail back into Jolly Harbour Marina for your disembarkation and check-in at noon. Take great memories back with you. |
